Are Unicity Products Safe? A Look into How Unicity Products Are Made

Health and wellness is a thriving industry—because who doesn’t want to live a healthier lifestyle?

However, there’s often a disconnect between what a customer wants and what businesses are willing to sell. Many companies aren’t experts in what they are selling; they are simply middle-men who pass along the same old products using different labels (known as the drop-shipping model). They stir up demand for a product they’ve purchased online, then they rename the products, give them new packaging, and ship them. They outsource all of the product development, research, and production.

It’s a model that works well for the business, but not so much for the customers. Because these companies don’t handle their own product development, consumers can’t always trust what’s on the supplement labels.

That’s why we do things differently at Unicity.

We use a hands-on approach to ensure Unicity products are safe. We directly oversee production and manufacturing. We make sure our products meet our high-quality standards. We handle the shipping ourselves. We have complete control over how Unicity products are produced and distributed so consumers know they can trust that what they order is safe and effective.

Research and Development

Unicity product development begins with our in-house research and development team. We work exclusively with the best ingredients, often directly sourcing the botanicals from only trusted farmers and growers. We make sure the ingredients meet the highest quality and purity standards and that the nutrient content and chemical composition match the intended product benefits. Often a formula is tweaked multiple times to ensure it’s just right.

We are confident our products meet our high expectations because of the rigorous development process they undergo.

Product Development and Quality Assurance

Once a product is formulated, we produce samples, or pilot batches, at one of our four manufacturing facilities.

In our Unicity facilities, we follow the product from conception to completion. And because we own and operate the sites, we are always 100% confident our products, equipment, processes, and personnel meet our high-quality standards, no matter which Unicity facility produces the product.

Because quality is so important in production, we have many sanitation and safety measures in each facility, including the following:

  • Cyclonic dust collectors that suck 8,000 cubic feet of air per minute
  • Class A HEPA filtration sample tent that tests all raw materials
  • Segregated processing rooms with high-speed roll doors that prevent product cross-contamination
  • Regular audits on manufacturing facilities and procedures
  • Compliance with Current Good Manufacturing Practice (CGMP) regulations and local micro and heavy metal laws

We also review products in post-production to make sure they meet our standards in packaging, appearance, smell, color, and taste.

Why Manufacture Products In-House?

As you can see, it’s a lot of work to create products that are safe, nutritious, effective, and tasty. So why bother doing the manufacturing ourselves?

It’s simple. It allows us to make the best products possible, and we are in control of our destiny. We can move at a quicker pace than most companies, even when times are difficult. For example, when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, Unicity was able to continue production because we didn’t fully depend on other companies or contractors, many of which experienced closure or substantial delays.

Another benefit is that we can make pilot product batches without having to disclose any information to third-party vendors. This means we can keep all of our product information completely secret until we’re ready to file patents or launch. This helps protect our innovation from duplication and allows us to offer the unique products you all enjoy.

Despite its challenges, managing our own product development ensures we deliver the best products possible to our customers.

Making Life Better

If you want to change lives, you can’t follow the status quo. If you want the best results, you have to go the extra mile.

This is why we’re so passionate about handling product development ourselves. We go the extra mile at every stage and at every facility. We do things that other companies don’t, or won’t, do. And since we aim to Make Life Better, we can’t accept anything less than the best.
